Otto Sander Biyografisi

Otto Sander (Almanca: [ˈɔtoː ˈzandɐ]; 30 Haziran 1941 - 12 Eylül 2013) bir Alman sinema, tiyatro ve seslendirme sanatçısıydı. Sander Kassel'de büyüdü ve 1961'de Friedrichgymnasium'dan mezun oldu. Okulu bıraktıktan sonra 1961/62'de askerlik hizmetini Bundesmarine'de geçirdi ve yedek fenrik olarak ayrıldı. Sander daha sonra tiyatro bilimi, sanat tarihi ve felsefe okudu. 1965'te Düsseldorfer oda oyunlarında oyunculuğa adım attı. Aynı yıl ilk sinema çalışmasının ardından 1967'de eğitimini yarıda bırakıp tam zamanlı oyuncu olmak için Münih'e gitti. Kariyeri, Peter Stein yönetimindeki Berlin'deki Schaubühne tiyatrosuyla yakından bağlantılıdır. 1980'den itibaren Sander, 1981'de Schillertheater'da, 1985'te Freie Volksbühne'de ve 1989'da Komödie am Kurfürstendamm'da olmak üzere Berlin'deki birçok tiyatro sahnesinde rol aldı. Yakın zamanda Schauspielhaus Bochum'da (2004) Hauptmann von Köpenick filminde rol aldı. 1990 yılında 40. Berlin Uluslararası Film Festivali'nde Jüri üyeliği yaptı. En tanınmış film rolleri arasında Wings of Desire'daki melek Cassiel ve onun devamı olan Faraway, So Close! Wim Wenders ve mermi şokuna uğramış denizaltı komutanı Kapitänleutnant Philipp Thomsen tarafından Wolfgang Petersen'in Das Boot'unda. Sander aynı zamanda The Tin Drum'da (1979) trompetçi olarak ve aynı adlı müzik grubu hakkında bir biyografi olan Comedian Harmonists'te de yer aldı. Ayrıca Berlin'in duvarla bölünmesini konu alan The Promise filminde bir profesörü canlandırdı. 1999'da Rosa von Praunheim'ın The Einstein of Sex adlı filminde rol aldı.
