Peter MacNicol Biyografisi

Peter MacNicol Amerikalı bir aktördür. 1981'de Broadway'de ilk kez oynadığı Kalp Suçları oyunuyla Tiyatro Dünyası Ödülü'nü aldı. Film rolleri arasında Dragonslayer'da (1981) Galen, Sophie's Choice'ta (1982) Stingo, Ghostbusters II'de (1989) Janosz Poha, Addams Family Values'da (1993) kamp danışmanı Gary Granger ve Bean'de (1997) David Langley yer alıyor. MacNicol, 10 Nisan 1954'te Dallas, Teksas'ta doğdu. Dallas Üniversitesi ve Minnesota Üniversitesi'nde tiyatro eğitimi aldı. Mezun olduktan sonra oyunculuk kariyerine devam etmek için New York'a taşındı. MacNicol Broadway'deki ilk çıkışını 1981'de Crimes of the Heart adlı oyunla yaptı. Performansıyla Tiyatro Dünyası Ödülü'nü kazandı. The Real Thing (1984), The Crucible (1996) ve The Pillowman (2005) dahil olmak üzere bir dizi başka Broadway yapımında rol aldı. MacNicol'un sinema ve televizyonda da başarılı bir kariyeri var. Sophie's Choice (1982), Ghostbusters II (1989), Addams Family Values (1993) ve Bean (1997) gibi birçok filmde rol aldı. En çok FOX komedi-drama filmi Ally McBeal'deki (1997–2002) eksantrik avukat John Cage rolüyle tanınır ve bu rolüyle 2001'de Komedi Dizilerinde En İyi Yardımcı Erkek Oyuncu dalında Primetime Emmy Ödülü'nü kazandı. MacNicol ayrıca 24 (2001), Numbers (2005) ve Veep (2012-2019) dahil olmak üzere bir dizi başka televizyon programında da yer aldı. Çeşitli rollerde yeteneklerini göstermiş çok yönlü bir aktördür. MacNicol, Martha Cumming ile evli ve iki çocukları var. Oyuncu Sermayesi Derneği ve Sinema Oyuncuları Birliği'nin üyesidir.
